TH7 Nutrition
In our fast-paced world, we juggle many responsibilities: work, school, meetings, deadlines, and emails – then add kids to the equation! We require a high level of energy and focus every single day. While some factors affecting our performance are beyond our control, our daily habits can significantly improve our energy levels and promote health and overall well-being.
At TH7, we focus on four key pillars of your lifestyle to enhance your mental health and everyday corporate performance:
Nutrition
Sleep
Movement
Mindset
Regardless of your profession, your performance hinges on these four pillars. By fueling your body with the right nutrients, prioritising sleep, moving daily and managing your stress levels, you are setting yourself up for success not only in your professional life, but also contributing to overall health and wellbeing.
Your nutritional strategy can be a game-changer in many areas of your journey to success:
Complex carbohydrates, such as quinoa, long-grain rice, wholegrain bread and pasta, or starchy vegetables, provide your body and brain with sustained energy. They can fuel your focus and help you maintain consistent energy levels throughout the workday. Planning your meals or snacks around that mid-afternoon business meeting or important deadline can make a world of difference.
A diet rich in healthy fats and antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables, particularly omega-3 fatty acids found in foods like walnuts, seeds, and oily fish, is not just essential for brain function but also pivotal in enhancing cognition. This will drive focus and concentration, ensuring you’re able to perform consistently across the day, whether it’s for high-stakes meetings with clients or complex problem-solving.
In addition to complex carbs, incorporating fun, colourful vegetables and healthy fats into your diet can protect brain health.
Colourful vegetables are packed with antioxidants and an array of essential nutrients that support brain health.
Healthy fats, particularly omega-3 fatty acids found in foods like walnuts, seeds, and oily fish, are essential for brain function and may improve cognition and mental clarity.
